6 wedding day mistakes to avoid!
One of the best ways to have a perfect wedding is to make sure that you avoid the following wedding day mistakes. PLANIT Weddings has collected some details from our previous brides on what they wish they had of done on their wedding day.
1. Not eating any food the morning of the wedding
Not eating any food on the morning of or the day of your wedding is one of the biggest mistakes a bride-to-be can make. It is a very long day and you will need as much energy as possible to make you last the whole day and night. PLANIT Weddings recommends that all brides have a breakfast that is nutritious and will leave them feeling full for the long day ahead.
2. Not telling the DJ the songs that you don’t want played
Time and time again we see this mistake happen where the bride and groom forget to inform the DJ about the songs that they do not want played. It is an easy mistake when you have hundreds of other things to worry about but just take note of this and remember to do it to avoid a disaster on the dance floor.
3. Not having a structured timeline for your day
Trust us, the day will go VERY fast. It is important that you plan your day out or at least the majority of the morning. This allows you to get things done and allows you to relax without feeling stressed that things need to still be done.
4. Not hiring a wedding planner
PLANIT Weddings cannot emphasize enough how important it is to hire a wedding planner for your wedding. A wedding planner will go above and beyond to make your day the best day possible.
5. Not allocating a wedding budget
Have a rough idea of the amount of money you both want to spend on the wedding and other aspects of the planning. Allocate your money to the important things that matter to you both such as the food or the photographer.
6. Not getting the chance to talk to all the guests
It is so easy to get caught up and end up staying at the top table or sticking to tables around you. Make sure and try and make your way around to every guest or at least every table.
